 NT 2000 APPROVED BY HITACHI
April 12, 2000 - YOKOHAMA, Japan
EHC Japan, a wholly owned subsidiary of Escalator Handrail Company Inc., is pleased to report that its revolutionary new NT2000 handrail product was approved for use by Hitachi late last year.
"Hitachi spent more than 6 months carefully scrutinizing the product and have come back to us with phenomenally favorable results." says EHC Japan's General Manager Patrick Bothwell.
"Hitachi's linear-drive handrail test methodology is the most stringent in our industry - product validation at this level has us all very excited!" continues Bothwell.
NT2000 significantly outlasted conventional rubber handrail on the Hitachi test. Hitachi's first orders for the product were placed the first week of January and were promptly delivered from EHC's state-of-the-art splicing facility in Yokohama.
